Ford Truck/Van Hubcap Identification and Interchange

 

NOTE: The information in the following table was obtained from The Hollander Wheel Cover Identification & Interchange manual (51st edition, 1985). The right column shows the Hollander ID number for each part. Click the Hollander (H) icon next to the number to see a scan directly from the manual.
     This manual only shows full-size wheelcovers...it does not show 'dog-dish'-style covers. Therefore, all mentions made of dog-dish'-style hubcaps later on this page were added by myself, yet to be verified.
    I'm attempting to verify the existing data and complete a full description for all pieces and will add this info as it becomes available. If you have any information that might be helpful in completing this page, especially in regards to 'dog-dish' style hubcaps, please e-mail me.

The Ford truck wheels that takes the inside-tab hub caps can be found on 1948 through early-1966 trucks. These wheels fit International trucks, Jeeps and 1949-51 Mercury cars, as well as a lot of Post Office trucks too. They were available in 14", 15", 16" and 17" versions.

When the tire is off the rim:
  -  the 15" rims measure 15" from bead-to-bead, 16-1/2" across
  -  the 16" rim measures 17-1/2 " across
  -  the 17" rim measures across 19-1/4"
