PNW Portland OR. Swap Meet
Yes,
we had a wonderful time. The weather was wonderful considering
the time of the year. The swap was HUGE! They had a lot of
everything there, well worth checkin' out. My legs refused to
get out of bed this morning, thanks to Peter (yes, he made the
trip again). He refused to rest or much less take a few small
shortcuts.
We
walked what we thought was all of the outside stuff and then
started to venture inside. Low and behold we looked though the
building and out the other side and there was another parking
lot full of booths. CRAP! We kicked into high gear but it was
hopeless. We could not make it all the way through the entire
swap before it was closing time. We missed it by one building.
Poor oh Peter walked out with empty hands and a tear in his eye.
He wanted to buy something so bad. We tried to talk him into
some really cool looking taillights for his '47, but no go. He
looked at me kinda crazy and said they looked ugly. He did take
a liking to an old rusty toy tractor, but by the time he made it
back the booth it had closed. Ouch!
Liz
found herself a real nice set of '67 Ford truck manuals. She was
so excited she couldn't put them down. She even brought them
into the restaurant to read. Now that is hardcore. I didn't get
anything there either. I had already given my piggybank to Mike
for a real nice running 2,500 watt Onan generator...the one that
fits under the hood of our Ford pickups. I am happy, that will
come in handy with the construction of my log home. Thanks Mike
and Lizzy. I bought it after the fact, but if I could have
brought that into the restaurant I would had. It just isn’t
fair.
Oh,
I lost the name of the place we ate, but before I forget don't
order the guacamole at the restaurant. Thanks Peter (F.O.R.D.)
and Liz (OldBlue67) for another wonderful time.
