Hats off to some of the FORDification’s finest folks that
attended another awesome PNW Meet & Greet on March 13. This time
the day started out at the 23rd Annual 4x4 Performance Swap in
Puyallup, WA Fairgrounds. Of course Peter (F.O.R.D) from CA.
flabbergasted us with his presence on this warm and sunny
morning. He didn’t go home empty-handed this time. This year’s
event was again “BIG” and packed full of four-wheel-drive hungry
folks chomping at the bit to get a good deal on the stuff they
just cannot live without. It was hard to hang around in a pack,
so as the event went on we ran into each other in various areas.
We managed to get in a quick handshake and say “HI” as the
crowds herded us past each other. Mother Nature did not bless me
with any unclaimed money blowing around in the wind this year.
This time it was my turn to bless someone else’s palm with a few
bucks for some little goodies.
After the meet, Ed directed us to a wonderful burger
joint called Niftys Fiftys in Puyallup, WA. They can serve up
one heck of a burger here. One of the delicious burgers they
have on the menu is a 1 1/4 pound burger with all the fixin's
and fries for $10. Note this: on Sundays, it is buy one get one
free...what a wonderful thing. Warning: they do not have any
wheelbarrows, so if you can wedge all of one of these things
down you're on your own. Oh Ed, guess what you forgot. This
place welcomes families, hot-rodders, and car clubs. The
attendance at the meet was Peter (F.O.R.D.), Mark (Comet), Ed &
Family (Tazzman68), Mike & Family (72Hiboy4x4), myself & family
and a few new folks: Liz (Oldblue67) and Daryl & family (kentdaryl).
(Liz, next time the truck needs to be together the night before
the meet.)
We are planning to do another meet and greet at the Portland
swap the first weekend in April. Check the
board for
details. Hope to see ya there.
