Custom hood latch

Anyone have ideas and/or sources for aftermarket/custom hood latches for these trucks? Looking for an alternative to the OEM style.

Dentsides had an inside release as an option, but very rare, the latch is quite different and shielded from tampering. I have never really looked to see if one could be modified into a bumpside, they are different.
I have a wrecked 04 Ranger and the latch looks like it could be doctored to work, with a little cutting and welding. Too much else on the go right now, so I haven't really progressed beyond the concept stage.
