I had taken my truck to the car wash over a year ago but the other day i just mixed up some "juice" and put it in a a spray bottle and sprayed it all over the beast. one quart of boiled linseed oil and one quart of mineral spirits. almost enough to cover the entire truck and also mess up the windshield. if i do this again in the future i may mask off the windows and stuff i don't want to get sticky . yes it is still sticky after a week or so. not real bad but sticky feel to the touch.
this is an extreme example i think of keeping the original patina. . my goal is to build a "carport" and keep it out of the rain for the rest of her life. or someday an actually garage and she can live inside out of the weather alltogether. she is beautiful just the way she is imho. i mean she can get new window glass and gasket and stuff and maybe pop the dents out a little bit if possible. well there might be some rust that has to be cut out and welded on the box. but i digress...

I forgot the original photos. Here she is where i found her. Parked here under a tree for years with a Pit Bull chained in front who lived underneath the engine.

the truck broke down and the owner fell ill and passed away before they could get her running again.

Re: 1968 F500 Patina Juice!
they say you need to reapply patina juice about every six months or so but i might have put it on pretty heavy. i hope it fades and thins out over time.
we will see. it's an experiment. boiled linseed oil mixed with mineral spirits. i did a 50/50 mix. which is thinner than Vice Grip Garage did his car. However he put it on thin with rag.
Here she is original patina. Maybe before i got her running. I had done nothing to the body and she saw for several years under a tree.

This is the first time i drove here to get air in the tyres. i fixed the roll pin in the distributor. that was what broke and she lost timing. that's why she was parked.
