Air Filter
Have a 302 engine 2bbl I want to put a new custom air filter on it but how do I get around the vent for the pcv coming out of the rocker cover I think the other side has the same type of set up. Any information would be helpful

re: Air Filter
Take a look at this thread. There is a picture at the bottom that Keith posted that will help you out.

re: Air Filter
That did not help me. I showed only 1 picture and then it said nothing on where to route the tubes. I need to know where to put the tubes coming off of the value covers. jimbo

re: Air Filter
The hose that comes off the PCV (pass side valve cover) goes to a fitting on the back or the front carb base. This hose (PVC) draws crank case vapor out of the block.
The hose that comes off the oil filler cap connects to somewhere on the airfilter housing. This hose pulls filtered air into the crankcase. After market filter housings usually have a place where you can punch a slug out and put a fitting in to connect to this hose.
That is what the picture is illustrating. Let me know if this helps.

re: Air Filter
Hey Jimbo, like Heep70 said, the hose with the PCV goes to the vacuum port of the carb or carb spacer. The other valve cover leads to filtered air. If that aftermarket air cleaner assemby does not have the punch out. You might be able to find a filter that pops directly to the valve cover. They look like a tiny air cleaner about 3" diameter. Maybe K&N carries one for your 302. The only thing is that sometimes you'll get oil leaking out of these types of vents/filters.
