i bought an aftermarket starter that began to chew up my flywheel. returned starter and pulled a 77' starter from junk yard and it worked fine but flywheel seemed to continue to deteriorate. starter shows no excess wear but flywheel is ruined with major dead spot. i'm thinking to just put a new ring gear on and turn flywheel .010-.012 and hope the starter is correct for the flywheel. the parts store got me a replacement flywheel but the block bolts don't match up no matter what way I turn it. and it fits a 10.5 clutch not the 11" that came off the truck. can anyone help determine any problems with theses part #'s
(where can I get a cheap ring gear put on in Nashville TN)
