Need Help Borg Warner Transmission

While I am able to put this truck into gear, the shifter has been tampered by the PO and is now "loose" (Please see video and pictures).

If anyone is familiar with a Borg Warner transmission (I believe a t18), or someone who has one, can you compare your shifter with the one in these pictures and videos, and tell me how they differ, I would really appreciate it. If you look a the pictures, the shifter has the base has a spot where the metal has been cut and there is also a simialr gouge in the transfer case housing.

Looks like normal (though excessive) wear on the stick.

It also looks like the pivot pin is either sheared or excessively worn. It's even possible that the old one got lost or dropped in the case, and someone fabricated a new one that's way too short.

Can you post a clearer picture of the top of the cover, where the pin comes in from the side?
