Smallest meet-n-greet ever?

Post by basketcase0302 »

Well here's what the weather's been like here in Chattanooga:
Image
It finally started melting today, but sure was nice to see a white Christmas!
I motored BC#16 down to Gadsden, Alabama yesterday (home of Noccalula Falls-I'll let Frank tell the story of it) to meet one of our members here FreakyFords (Frank). Somewhere around 90 miles each way and some icy roads to deal with too, but well worth the trip.
Frank's got a Ford corral similar to what I used to have. :(

He gave me this excellent shape hood for free!
Image
As well as a 3G alternator that I hope to get on BC # 16 soon. Frank is one heck of a guy, if you're anywhere around Gadsden, give him a shout! Here we are, (I'm the one with 3 layers of clothing on and still freezing)!

FYI, pictures do NOT do his truck justice. Tons of work and it shows.

Remember there's a cab here come spring.
Now if we can just get a couple of Georgia boys here at the same time, everybody can get the parts they need and I can get the 70 stripped down. ;)

Frank, you're too humble man! My trucks still a basketcase, hopefully I won't drive it into the ground before I can get a decent cab with paint on it!
Got my wheels to spinning on a "meet-n-greet", but we gotta' wait till it gets a little warmer!
Wait a minute...it suppose to be in the 40's here today. That's almost short pants weather compared to what we've had lately!

David,

I've got nothing but time right now man! Maybe the extra time will allow for organizing a "tri-state" meet-n-greet with more members here.

Hey, guys. Just wondering if anyone might be planning on going to Pigeon Forge to the F100 Supernationals this year? Might make a good gathering spot for some bumpside fanatics. I went last year and had a great time.

I really hope to make it there finally this year. Will have to see what work holds as the date for it gets closer.

Unless things change drastically by then, (somebody want to post the details for my lazy rump?) Not much chance I'll be there.

Middle of May? Pigeon Forge is only a couple of hours away from me, but I just got my truck so it is nowhere near nice quality...

Nothing on our "meet-n-greet"s here on the site says a truck has to be "nice" for someone to attend!
Look at our trucks we had at the last Florida meet:
Image

Just kiddin' about the above truck! I'm trying to find what happened to the meet pictures... :hmm:

Pigeon forge is sounding good to me! My brother is down in Moultrie, Ga this weekend for that swap meet. Sure wish I coulda' gone down there... :(

Hey, jthulan, last year there was all kinds and shapes there. Some very nice and some a lot worse shape than mine. A friend of mine has a 48 ford truck that he just pulled a busted flathead out of and installed a 312 thunderbird motor. We are thinking about driving up this year, ( that is if i can take out a loan for gas for the old 352). :$$:

I haven't even started working on mine though, so it's pretty rough. This is it's first winter out of Nevada, so there's NO rust, and I've been just driving the heck out of it.
