mud tire sizes
what is a good size for mud tires that look decent on a bump? im not looking for a HUGE tire..
from pictures i have seen 33-35" would be sufficient? but im not sure. i like the look/function of tall skinny tires.
i guess what im fishing for is pictures and tire sizes.

Re: mud tire sizes
I use 35"s on mine. I have run 255/85R16's and loved the size for use, but it just wasn't big enough for me. If you want taller than 33.5" (255/85R16) and skinny I'd suggest going to a 19.5 wheel where many commercial tire sizes can be had around 35" tall.

255/85R16 sounds perfect. do you have any pictures?
i don't have a lift or plan on getting one so the pictures i've found don't do me much good for reference

What kind of truck do you have? 255/85"s will not fit on a 2wd or F-100 4x4 without a lift.

I like 285/75-16s.
Basicaly the same as the 255s suggested by Average but wider. Looks good with 16x8 wheels.

Re: mud tire sizes
Good point Doug. I should have added that a 255/85 should be on a 6-7" wide wheel. They look goofy on an 8" wheel

Re: mud tire sizes
I have 315/75/16s on my f-250 and I like the height and how they fill up the wheel wells.. They look a a little funny because they are fat but they work.
I have to decide if I am going to stick with this size or go up to some 17 or 18s. I thought about 19.5s for a while but probably wont unless I start logging a hell of a lot of miles on my truck.

Re: mud tire sizes
It's very unusual to find a 15" wheel on a 3/4 ton truck.shivam wrote:245-75-15 maybe 265-75-15 have fun in the mud...
