Where to set timing?

Post by furnitureguy-123 »

Good morning!!
I have a 1966 flairside with a 1980 300-6, running on a 1968 distributor!!!!
I have set the timimg at 6btdc, and adjusted just a bit by ear and idle rpms.
I still have an intermittent miss and was wondering if anybody had the specs for setting the timing. I will take the numbers for an 80 or a 68 and then adjust from there.
Some day I will find a 66 300 and stop needing 3 or 4 books.
