here is the rear passenger fender that i've patched and beat out. i've also cut 3 inches off the bottom after lowering the bed to solve some rust issues. i'll renforce it later.
this shows how i lowered the bed. i took the mounting tabs and bolted them to the bottom of the frame rail instead of the top and i'll make a support to go across the front after i notch the sheet metal.
here's a shot of the mighty 300. for some reason i find it better looking than a v8. may be because it's cleaner and simple. i've got a new MSG coil that i'm going to install, along with a valve cover gasket, new lifters, and a new choke cable. i'll spray the parts when i have it dismantled.
and finally a shot of the inner fender well. i was recently given a set of 15X12 wheels with tires and i'm kinda worried about whether or not they will fit on the back. i'm not worried about cutting out an arch in the bed since the bed will be 6-8 inches higher than normal. i may pick them up today on the way to a party. i'll get pictures ASAP. by the way, i'm only going to run them on the back. i'll run the stock steelies on the front for now.
that's about it for now since i lost my camera card and can only take 6 pictures.

Maybe you can convince pops to give you a spot in the garage over the winter to work on her out of the elements and take care of those mounts. The folding hood is a cool idea! I'll be watching to see how it goes.
