Hello everyone,
my name is phatbank. I live in south-eastern wisconsin. I am 27 years old. Ford freak all my life, mustangs mostly. i have always been a truck man though. I'm doing my first truck resto right now. i have a 1969 f-100, style side, short box, 302 and 3 on the tree." the alabama slamma"
I would like some feed back on a couple of points.
1. has any one converted to rack and pinion? eg.fatman fab.
2. t-5 converion or tremec500?
3. 4-link rear?
I reacently picked up a '71 camper special.....with the camper...just a bit of wisdom those vista liner campers have about 200 pounds of aluminum on them. i bought it for the interoir and dash...i will be posting parts later that I will be selling.

welcome! t-5 don't suck if you get the right one or build it right. way better then a 4 speed. overdrive is really nice. i had one in my 70 short bed with a built 302 and b&m blower and it never gave me any problems.

marz. looks like your 68 is going to be one bad ride...
The most recent issue of car craft answered my questions about the t-5 it's self...the only thing that remains is has any one here done it? and is there and tips/tricks or warnings?
did any one here go on the hot rod power tour?
i was on the 2005 tour.
