Long time lurker, finally joined
I've been browsing this and other Ford truck forums for a little while now, as I've been planning to pick up a bumpside (or maybe dentside) project for quite a while. Just haven't found the right one at a price I can afford yet I like this forum because of how focused it is, lots of great information, even if the number of active members looks to be pretty low. Oh well, quality over quantity, right?
Anyway, hope to have a build thread to share before too long.

LOL - I got to the part where you took a break. Then skipped to the end and saw it's been a LONG break. It happens. Life gets in the way of these projects sometimes.

Finally found a bumpside short bed... only took a few years. Got delivered last night from Colorado. Looking forward to freshening it up a little and driving it.

Thanks! I'm really happy with the purchase. Owned by one family - the seller's uncle bought it new, gave it to his dad, who passed it on to him. All original, pretty good shape, used as a work truck. Am told the mileage on the odometer is actual miles... 94k! It's a 360 V8 with 4-speed on the floor.JWW wrote:Nice looking shorty you got there.

You got that right! The folks on here have helped guide me through some pretty tricky spots. There is tons of great information from years of work, as well as folks ready to jump in with their hard-earned experience on new problems. Fordification is a national treasure when it comes to Bumps!Ludachris wrote:Oh well, quality over quantity, right?
