Great work! Especially on the interior. That overhead console and headliner is incredible!

4X4X4 back on the road on its birthday!!
46 years ago today my crew was built. On its 46th birthday the crew is back on the road. The original 67 2WD crew was built on 3/30/67. Today I bolted the new plates on and drove 5 miles. Of course I had to gas it up, $100 and it still isn't full!
The crew drives so smooth and easy, rides smooth too. I will tell ya this, it is one heck of a long truck!!
I still have some bugs to work out, but I expected that.
Thanks to everyone for your help and unconditional support of this monster of a project. No way it would've reached this point with out you.
Here is a short vid of the fitst drive.

Re: 4X4X4 roof console and dakota digital dash
Today I took the crew out for a 10 mile drive on the highway and DANG!! at 60mph the rpm's are at 1800! I could do 140 before I redline! I figured I have to go at least with a 4:11. Right now its running 3:54 and the C6. Not good for towing or 4 wheelin!

Re: 4X4X4 roof console and dakota digital dash
Hey yall! Long time, no post! As with any good project, you are never really done. After driving my truck some, I came to realize it REALLY needed an extra gear. So I put an E4OD in place of the C6. Only needed a few mods to make it work. It was a fairly straight forward swap. 4th gear changes everything!
Here is the stock C6
Orig intermediate driveshaft
I am using a 4X4 E4Od without the married trans case. The 4X2 trans is too long so I had this rear bearing support machined for the rear of the trans
This the 4x4 tail cone
Here are the two mated with the yoke
Heres how the shortened driveshaft and machined support looks in the truck.
Another shot. Also showing the relocated rear crossmember
New trans crossmember
Electronic shift indicator
Electronic speed sensor in the transfer case speedo location
Shift selenoid control plug. I used US Shift programable computer. Plug and play. Super nice system!
TPS sensor
I can fully program all shift pionts and line pressure. Computer keeps track of trans temp, line pressure, kickdown points. Dropping RPM by 800 in O/D. Completely changed the characteristics of my truck. Love it!

Re: 4x4x4 C6 to E4OD swap
Thanks Rich, feels good to be back with my friends. I am now in need of extra gas tanks. Looking for 110 gallons total. Going to build a diamond plate tank for the bed.
This pic shows the baffles in the tank
This is the finished tank with the fill in the front corner
I will get some of it fitted to the bed later

Just saw this truck for sale on Craig's list and sat down and read the hole build. One of the baddest trucks I ever saw.

Wow that's sad! At least if you bought it you know it was built well. What was he asking?
