Here in Brazil, these trucks came from the factory with this engine (272 cid), mine is a 292... It ends to be a few v8 options here, like the 302, the y-blocks, flatheads, so I choose to go with the y-block. Is very common to see diesel MWM, Perkins, Mercedes engines running on these trucks...

Talking about alternators, what choices do I have with MWM 229? I need to replace mine, it runs only 30A. :/

beautiful truck. i saw a 71 with that same color combo driving through morgantown, PA on sunday. wish there were more around. :fr:
