Rattling Noise

Post by jprado »

Dear Any and All
Can rattling noise be worn U-Joint?
I drive a '69 F 100 short bed, 240 engine - I believe it has a C4 tranny.
The tranny fluid is pink and not sludgy.
I hope I don't have a wrecked tranny...
Thanks!

mine rattled and squeaked on its way out.. so its very possible youre on the right track thinking ujoint. if you dont have shift issues or slips id say the trans is good shape if the fluid looks good like youre saying. hope this helps.

Yes, mine did. Especially at the mount to the differential!

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
