Need info on lifting a 2WD 1972 F350.

Post by danieldekoeyer »

I am looking for some info on lifting a 1972 F350 2wd. I am hoping there is a kit available. I am new to this site and had a hard time finding this info in the discussions. Thanks for the input.

:wel: Hi,

Does your truck have a mono beam front axle with leaf springs or twin I beam with coil.
If twin I beam check this thread http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... ft#p558236
It may help.
If mono beam then possibly a 4x4 kit may work for you. Supper-lift makes one a dent side (73-79).

I have a 1972 F350 2wd and has the mono beams I was going to lift mine from http://www.autofab.com/econo.htm but decided I wanted higher and 4x4 so converting it to 4x4 with the solid axle front. The part about the F350 is the frame is very similar to the 4x4 F250 frame, mine even had the holes drilled for the front leaf hanger my 67 F350 even had the front crossbar on it just no leaf hanger in it.
