Your grill looks great! The grill on my crew came from another truck and was painted black like that. I used some paint stripper and couldn't believe how nice it was underneath.

Thanks! The grille does look alot nicer but, I am not satisfied with it. I am looking for a steel one so i can take it and get it chromed! It took me a while getting it stripped. I used acetone and a hard bristled brush.fomocoguy wrote:Your grill looks great! The grill on my crew came from another truck and was painted black like that. Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
Picked up a new cab, radiator core support, inner fender, doors, trim and a TITLE!! I have attached a few pics. The cab I got today is allot better then what I have. The po did a hack job and there was allot of work to do so, I decided just to get a new cab. My radiator core support was shot but, the inner fenders were surprisingly good. Got the doors just because they were there and figured I grab em up. I would rather have extra (good parts) then not have the parts at all. So, basically i bought this truck and i am not using anything except the frame. BOGUS! it was expected (for me atleast) as this is my first project. You live an learn! Hopefully in the next coming weeks and I can start the tear down.

Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
So, I finally started the tear down. Got the hood, grille, bumper and fender off this morning. I have attached a couple pictures. Getting the hood off by yourself is a booger!

Not much going on here. I have been tinkering around with the other cab. Stripping all the the parts off. I'm not really excited about the whole wiring issue. I may just go buy a ez wiring harness.

Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
I got the Radiator off as well as the core support . Thank god i have an extra core support because this one was shot!! Did allot of organizing today in the garage. I have tons of parts that had to be moved around and out of the way. Here are a few pictures of my SLOW progress . Working 60+ hours a week doesn't give me much time for my truck.

Re: Troy's 69 F100 Rolling Project
Finally got the bed off! i had to grind 3 of the 8 bolts off. I used a 1 ton cherry picker that i got from harbor freight. It worked flawlessly!
