Thanks... that was helpful for sure. Sheesh... that PS bracket is a giant turd of metal, isn't it? I see he also has that little PS cooler that sticks up in the air. My Bronco had that.

oh... wait... Hawkrod posted a much cooler PS bracket on that 428 Mustang. That's the bracket I'm looking for, along with the crank pulley.

Yes, that is a much more sanitary installation. I always hated the truck setup for it's uglyness.

The car version isn't easy to find, but sometimes can be had on flea-bay for $$$$.

There is also a cleaner install in the earlier 352 car engines, but not sure the setup will work with the later pulleys.

At least the box will work... that is something, right?

really if you dont like the sliding bracket idea. you can use the 67-70 bracket instead. as long as you use the correct spacers that come with the 67-70 bracket. maybe it s the 68-70 bracket. i am unsure if the bracket was ever used for 67.

as Johnny Cochran would say, if he were attempting a power steering conversion.... "if the pulleys align it must be fine"

Isn't the power steering system for f100 4x4's prior to 1976, the hydraulic ram setup with a manual box? Mine is.

The parts for this system are expensive and hard to find, especially a manual steering box in good shape.

You could make some $$ off this deal.
1974 Ford F-100 4x4- 360 / manual.
1970 Ford F250 4x4 ~ Sold.
