Hey guys, I have a Dana 24 divorce transfer case, serial 1065267 also in the casting is a number 12 22 67 with a leaking output to the rear. I would like to replace the seal. Is this a very difficult job? It seems straight forward, but i have not done anything like this before. Just wondered if there was anything to look out for? Thanks in advance! Tim
Edit
Well i just got off the phone with Bronco Graveyard in Michigan. Good guys! They have a kit that has all the seals and gaskets for my unit. Lots of other stuff for our trucks as well that will interchange with bronco stuff. Good advice too! Thanks anyways! Tim

Re: Leaking Dana 24 need help?
Ive got a 69 with a dana 24 and while i had the body off i replaced the seals in it. No problems at all, everything went smooth. Ive heard average250 talking about 24s and saying if the yoke has any play in it that the bearing should be replaced, mine was fine so i didnt replace any bearings in it. Maybe he'll be on later to give some things to look for while your working on it. One thing i did notice when i had the driveshart out was the splines were off not letting the U-joints line up. Checked the other shafts and all were the same way, 1-3 splines off on all of them. mine only has 56,000 miles on it so im thinking that it came that way when built.
