I quess this subject is pretty flat around here :hmm: .......not a single response :zz: ......Im thinking this is an oppertunity for some one to make some money....
I just measured the wheel openings of my 76 highboy to see how they compare to a bumpsides and they seem a lot bigger on a dentside....I have a chance to get some used bushwacker exstenda flares for the dent side and I might see if they can be modified/ built to fit a bump nicely.....nicely,... the key word.
I definately dont want cutout flares and Im not down with the old school black flap style flares........well see ...I will let you guys know what I find out....

Theres a highboy at my school that has fenderflares, it's a '71/'72. I don't know the kid or know what kind of flares they are but I'll try and get a picture.

I was under the impression the only time you put flares on your truck was under court order via too many fix it tickets. The new trucks come with them, but they also come with tailgate sissy steps. I keep my tires under the body of my trucks or I trailer it to it's destination.

well Im one of those unfortunate guys who has a killer set of vintage ansen alluminum slots that are fully polished :D , and they dont have the perfect backspacing for the front.....they do fit perfectly under the rear..... also Im getting ready to dreadfully install a dorky dana 60 front axle in my truck that will put the wheels 3/4 of an inch farther out than they are now :hd: . oh and Im one of those deranged charecters that really drives his truck every day, including snow, sleat , rain and mud, and for some strange reason my truck looks a lot better when its clean and shiney ??? go figure?????
I do agree that the trucks look better with out any kind of fender flares and Id be ok if I just went with another set of wheels but Im sure youll agree that polished slots look soooo good on our trucks, plus I like the vintage look of the slots :fr:
