howdy, doing a clutch job on my truck and wodering how to remove 4 speed shifter?? it looks like tap the pin out.??? but i dont want to drop something into tranny by accident thanks mike

that dont come out that way.
Take a pair of channel locks open them a bit and with the channel locks press down on the metal collar and turn counter clockwise.
It may take a few try's
