Large diameter, but short glasspacks. Pour diesel down them to soak the wool then light them on fire. Let them burn for a day. Repaint and install. Lose your hearing in 1-2 years.

The old glass pack cherry bombs u can pick up at any parts store will be the loudest. Get the shorts and burn them out as redcap suggested. Check your local and state laws, in some states straights with no mufflers you can't get a state inspection- if a state inspection is required in your state. :2cents:

I'm not sure I understand the appeal of a very loud vehicle (unless a dragcar/truck), it only tends to draw unwanted attention by the police. Personally, I like a truck to be on the quiet side with a pleasant exhaust note when you step on it. I really hate having to yell inside the cab to talk to my passengers.

I've had loud ones intentionally and unintentionally. I like a good note exhausted from a good motor. I'm still partial to tuning mine with an idle through any local parking lot. If it sets off an alarm or two then I've hit harmonious gold. HAHAHAHA

Any half-decent local parts house will have them. Either Cherry Bombs or Purple Hornies (my preference for F*$#ING LOUD). Short, large case.

an ice pick fo rthe muffler that you have now. or just dont put any thing coming off of the heads. a glass pack is kind of loud. thrush and cherry bomb were the names when i was a kid. open headers are usually against city noise laws.

At my age, my idea of a proper exhaust leaves no noise except for that which the tires make.

Im close on my truck but need it a little quieter. I want to be able to carry on a conversation with my wife at 90 mph and not have to raise my voice.
