Re: What makes it a "Highboy"
From my loose interpratation it would have a divorced transfer case. Most (I'm only saying most becuase I can't recall exact years) of the divorced tranfercases were in the F-250's. From my loose interpratation you don't have a Highboy. I don't know if thats good news or bad but hope it helps. Doug

Re: What makes it a "Highboy"
Thanks for the info, I haven't bought it yet. I've kinda put my projects on hold 'til this economy starts looking up a little. I'm just trying to get a rough estimate of what it might be worth. If it's the bargain I think it is I'll probably buy it just to do a little work on it and resell it. I've already got 3 running/driving trucks now. ( An '01 Dodge (company truck) a '68 Ford, and a '97 Silverado )

Re: What makes it a "Highboy"
The term 'highboy' refers to a '67 thru '77½ F250 4x4 with a divorced transfer case. No exceptions.

Re: What makes it a "Highboy"
The truck has a 435, dana 21 single speed t-case, small bearing 28 spline 9 inch and a kingpin drum 44 front axle.
None of those parts are desireable or worth anything. If the truck is decent then it's a good deal, but don't buy it for parts.

Re: What makes it a "Highboy"
There's nothing wrong with the truck, it's just been setting a couple years while the owner was in jail. Now he has no job (or driver license) and has a lot of stuff for sale. Mostly Ford stuff too. But I've about talked myself out of buying the 4wd He's also got a '71 2wd F250 that's pretty slick but he won't sell it.
