TIRES SIZE

HI PALS:

Is good to hear that a lot of people had joined lately, anyhow I feel like to only one in this land with such a hobbie FORD67.

I have a question regarding the tires size, mine is a Ford ranger 1967 2wd, I am planning on change the tires to 31 x 10.50 rim 15. My wheels are 6.5inches width some people tells me that such a big tires may hurt the suspension and will make the bearings be useless.

Another option could be a 235/75/15 tire.
i'd like to hear your thoughts on this matter

That size of a tire on the front will make the bearings wear a bit faster. Its the width of the tire that causes the faster wear. The suspension should be fine. The rear will do just fine. If you have manual steering it will be harder to turn at slower speeds or at a stand still. You should also get rims that are wider to handle the width of the 31". If not, the tires will roll under when you go around corners. It will feel like you have a flat.

I would go with a tall but narrower tire if you want to keep your stock rims. Step up to an 80 series for more height.
