Im Having fun and Im proud of my ole girl.
CJ,s 67 F100,
Your welcome. Always glad to help.
Yup, thats how it mounts. Between the hack-job brackets the PO had done on my 70 and the good brackets from my 72 donor I put together a full set of correct brackets for an FE with all origional and correct bolts, studs, and nuts.
Its amazing how easy it is to adjust the belts when everything works.
I bet a chrome set would look sweet!
The valve covers are cast iron grey engine enamel. (several coats) and so is the water pump.
Yes, the intake is an Edel Streetmaster. I love those intakes.
They dont make em anymore so thier gettn hard to find and usualy when you do find em somebody has already ripped the threads out of em or cracked and patched one spot or another.
Dont quite know how they make torque down low with a single plane intake but they do and by the time you twist the FE up to 2500RPM its like gettn a kick in the back.
That setup with the Mallory Dual Point & headers gets me 10-13MPG. on a otherwise stock 360 and can light up 31X10.50 BFG AT tires from a stand still. (The 3.73 gear in the D60 might help W/that too

)
Anyway, the MPG is the same as the old 2BBL carb with the cast intake. (And more fun to drive)
As far as the resistor, I would not like it on a VC bolt either.
I originaly had it mounted to the firewall with a sheet metal screw and just had it sitting on the intake after the cab swap for the pictures.
Now that you bring it up. I like YOUR idea to put it on the trapeze mount.
Thanks for the comments and ideas.
But you didnt say anything about my 'classic' coat hanger throttle linkage.
