1971 Power steering conversion

Post by ebaby35 »

Just to make sure im correct if i want to have disc brakes on my 1971 f250 i just need to find a donor truck from 73'-79' and get the linkage? does it matter if its from a f100 or f250?

Yes it will matter the F250 in most cases has bigger king pins and double piston calipers. To make life easier find a F250 donor. Also read the tech article on conversation, bc you'll need a new proportioning valve. Front disc rear drums, there are so many threads and pictures on this conversation it should be fairly easy.
Thanks JP! Ms. Cordova is a factory 1969 Ford F100 Ranger with a 390, Front disc brakes, Cordova copper orange, behind the seat box

Well, do you want me to make a list of what you'll need ? Is your truck currently column shift or automatic? I can send you the price quote, shipping would be extra of course.
