THanks guys

Still find a hood and do the body work/paint on that, as well as spray the back of the cab and then the roof white. Then color sand and buff the whole thing.

Nope. Well, i have a tranny, its just totally disassembled and lacking OD rebuild parts and a pricey torque converter.

What kind of sound deadener did you use and what kind of paint did you use on the floor to seal up surface rust?

Haven't been on here in a WHILE!
Been busy with this stupid thing.

Hmm I forget where i got the seatbelts! THere was a thread on here somewhere about them. I wish i could remember!

I used quik-roof. It's a roofing material. Tar on one side and aluminum on the other. The stuff must work very well because with just the sound deadener, I can hardly hear my straight piped cummins which is deafening when you open the passenger side door or are outside the truck. Its basically dynamat without the brand name and 100x cheaper.

Today I randomly decided Its about time to pull it out of the side yard. Buddy brought his powerstroke over so we used it to winch the beast out. Put it in the driveway and 10 minutes later i had the starter and battery in and hooked up. Bought a gallon of diesel and cranked it over while bleeding injectors. Fired right up!

First time in a YEAR! So excited.

Also picked up my powdercoated hinge. They are gorgeous!

Cole Dow is coming over next week to help put the built trans together!
I'll be swapping my 16.5" steelies (no tires) on this week so it fits in the garage then i'm going to be hammering down on this thing. There is SO much to do it's ridiculous. My quality standards have gone up since last year so Im probably going to gut it and re-do almost everything.
About $2-2.5k and 3 months and it should be driving again.

Welcome back, Ryan! Awesome Ranger! (details please) So, is the '69 going to pull the ranger now? I can relate to the quality standards comment, mine have gotten a little out of control, if I could've kept them in check, the truck would be finished. - Oh wait, they're never really finished. I can't believe it's been a year since that cummins ran, seems like just a couple months ago you hauled home that donor.

Keep us up to date!

Oh yea, the ranger is lots of fun. Haven't taken it out much yet, but can't wait to hit the wide open desert.
Heres a couple shots of goofing off at the local track before tearing it all down.
70' forward distance.

It's a '97 ranger with healthy 4.0, caged front to rear DOM tube, Camburg beams and radius arms, King 16" coilovers, SAW hydro bumps, King 16" double bypasses in the rear, fiberglass all around, 35" BFG TA's, 32 gallon fuel cell (currently fabricating an aluminum replacement at the shop), Deaver leaf springs, Camburg shackles, 4.56 gearing, aluminum dash/center console, corbeau seats, Crow harnesses, sealed cab, 98+ conversion front clip, I could go on forever. Oh, and its my daily driver lol

Anyways....
Let the games begin.
