just wanted to introduce myself
ya i'll say it im a newbie
first of all id like to say hi to everyone and that this has got to be the best ford truck site i've ever been to.
id also like to say that im about 17 and a half and will be going into my senior year of high school with plans of going on to college to be a mechanical engineer. I have always been into doing things with my hands, whether it has been construction, woodworking, metalworking(more recent than anything else) which i know i got from my father (he did almost everything a guy can) but he passed away going on 11 years ago and never got the chance to teach me the things i know he would have wanted to. because of this i have had to learn everything on my own by reading or watching others. more recently i have gotten into working on trucks and purchised a $200 1980 f-250(just something to experiment on with the end goal to sell it and purchase either a 66/67 fairlane or a 67-69 f100). lastly id just like to say that if it weren't for modern day cars(nothing but computerized wire buckets and don't even get me started on rice burners, which everyone my age seems to think i should be into)id probably be a mechanic instead

Welcome to the forums, fords_forlife! It's always gratifying to run into young people who are more into American iron than rice and computer chips. And the fact that you're interested in Fords is even better. Stick around....we'll get you talked into that F-100 very soon!
