1200-1400 stall converter too low?
‘74 360+C6 combo - bone stock. Would a 1200-1400 stall torque converter pull too hard at red lights? I’d like to keep the stall real low for mileage but don’t want it to be annoying.

Re: 1200-1400 stall converter too low?
A stock 360 converter probably flash stalls around 1800...
Funny thing about converter is stall is variable depending on gearing, weight, engine performance curve and so many other things hard to predict how a given converter is going to act.
But generally I’d say that will work OK...
What converter you looking at?

Was just looking at the NAPA converter. But I’m game for whatever if you have a suggestion.
