What Glue for Door Windows?

I replaced the window rubber in my doors a couple of years ago, but the driver window works its way out of the carrier and gets jammed in the tracks (not a lot, but enough that it sometimes takes two hands to roll my window up/down). When I replaced the rubber, I didn't bother trying to glue the windows down, but it looks like I need to. What are others using to glue the windows down to the carrier? Anything I should avoid?

Consider using 3M super weatherstrip adhesive. It has excellent adhesion and never hardens up hard enough to crack and fail.

Another vote for 3M super weatherstrip adhesive. It will remain flexible.

The glass is installed in the carrier with what is called "bedding tape". They are not glued in with 3M or anything else. Glass shops have it and I've seen it in DC's or LMC's catalog.

I took mine to a glass shop. As mentioned above, they used bedding tape. The guy cut the tape and installed it. He then pulled on it and pulled it out of the channel. He tried 3 times using different thickness tapes until he said it was good. Charged me $5.00. This was at a very popular, vey busy shop that does all types of glass, not just a small shop.

I would not use adhesive. You or a future owner will be sorry if you ever have to remove the channel. You need this:
