Decoding the vin #......spent some time on the forum looking for the original paint color that the truck may have come with. The vin plate shows an X but that color does not show on the chart for 1971. It sounds like there were mid year changes with the Explorer Model like mine that are not listed. Anyone know what the true color would have been if X is listed? It looks like it's been repainted a few times but it's currently close to the Light Ginger color that i have seen on Explorer brochures for that year. Thoughts?
Also, what does T.S Locking mean when describing the Dana 60 on the vin chart?

The '72 chart shows X as light goldenrod yellow. A mid year phase in of parts or paint colors, like royal maroon on a '68 or a 302 in a '69 truck, make things interesting for the historians. TS stands for torque-sensing.
