How are mounting the seat brackets for bucket seats? Especially the outside brackets. The floor slopes away from the seat quite a bit.

The factory made a mount that is "Z" shaped. I think that some is making them. Occasionally, you can get them on one of the auction sites. The seats themselves are common with the mustang.

I built a frame for mine out of 1-1/2" angle iron.

there was a guy selling pre-made bucket seats brackets for the 67-72 truck on ebay a few months ago for 75 bucks. he was selling multiple sets so it wasnt a one off auction, if hes still making those ( which were direct duplicates of the originals supposedly) then that might be a good way to go.

The outboard brackets' horizontal flange is reverse-curved to slightly overhang the angled drop off of the seat pan. The passenger side bracket is shown below and the bucket bracket holes are relative to the bench seat holes.
Btw, look closely at the seat pan where the brackets would be mounted and notice that they are pre-dimpled (stamped) for drilling. Easy. See the black arrows drawn on the pan?
