Re: engine swap
This is so sad
It's like a slap in the face to every ford man.
I think I'm gonna start buying chevys and put ford motors in them. Just to even the odds I guess
I'm gonna take a stab at it and guess you got a lot of chevy friends. I bet they enjoyed "helping" you put her in. If it was a ford motor in a chevy I bet they would be "busy".
I assume you call yourself a hot rodder?
Your truck I guess, even though built 302 with aod or c4s trans are plentiful and cheap. Or a stroked 351w.
Oh well either way youre a fellow member so I wish you luck. Ford lost this round I guess

Re: engine swap
I got even years ago. I put a 318 in a '37 Chevrolet truck. Also had a 9" rear. Driveshaft? Came from an AMC. It drove the Chevrolet folks crazy. It's his truck but I wonder what "scary fast" is.

Nice set up. I bet it did drive the chevy loyalists crazy. I can relate

Why? Because he wanted to. I just bet that is crazy fast and fun to drive.

Re: engine swap
Well as someone who has a SWB with a 460 that people are afraid of and presently building for more go fast I just wonder what "scary fast" is. We should weigh about the same. His extra weight of the bed but less weight with the small engine. Small blocks are not known for the torque that comes from a big block. It is the torque that makes the feel of "scary". Of course seeing 200+ mph even if it takes a bit to get there would be "scary" as well.
