Name is Travis and I live in the Fort Smith area of Arkansas. I've been a shadow on this site for a couple of years and finally decided to sign up. Whole family are Ford people. Got a 1972 Ford F100 LWB Custom edition with a stock 302, 3.25 rear end and C4. for high school. The truck came from the original owner a few towns away and it was in wonderful condition for its age. Very little rust. (although he did repaint it a gloss black when it was originally green and the paint quality wasn't as good as it should have been
) Over time, I swapped the stock exhaust for some Flowtech full length headers and Purple Hornie turn-downs. I also fixed little electrical problems and aesthetics with the help of this site and NPD. More recently, I swapped the C4 auto with a RAT 3.03 manual from a local salvage yard at a steal of a price. I've owned the truck now for 7 years and it's still my daily driver and my baby. I've decided to make it stand out from the rest and hot rod it up. Maybe just a bit of a show off truck and put the occasional Honda or Chevy back in its place and make the local car shows. I'm thinking, fatter tires, lower stance, bucket seats, professional matte black paint, beefed up 302 or MAYBE even a modified 351W and a lower rear gear. The majority of that is a very realistic option this year. One day, I'd love to get my hands on a Lenco racing transmission... The only thing better than a stick in the floor is many sticks in the floor. At least a man can dream...
