1972 F250 piece of artwork! updated 6-21-2013

Post by jp2005 »

Well this is my new addition to the family. I think it looks like a piece of art the way the paint has faded. I purchased this truck from the original owner and it has a 460 in it that came from a 77 grand marquis. Has about 77000 miles on engine and trans. Power steering, Disc brakes and dented tail gate all included. The first thing I have done so far is clean the interior out and wash it. Changed the oil, radiator fluid and cleaned engine a little. I have lots of work to do on this one. More updates to come!

Things I have done so far is:
Rebuild the Carb
Replace bushings
Clean clean clean
Paint
New tires
Tune up
Change all fluids.

Trans was slipping, changed the fluid and its running great now. I've been driving it all week and giving the 68 a break. This 72 is pretty really happy to be back on the road again.

I ended up selling this breast to a teen that was going to use it for school. By now its probably beat to death, because he wasn't very nice on the test drive. :? I kind of miss it, it was a good truck.
