I have a 69 4x4 and a 71 2wd. The plan is to put them both together and make a crew cab 4x4 that I can drive whenever and wherever. I want her to be my prime mover so the gf and I can get a little horse trailer (and I can get a deck over...) and go ride some of the many trails that are local.
Drivetrain plans are the freshened up 360 I built in school, a gear splitter, freshen up the np435, probably keep rocking the dana 21, and get the 8 lug dana 44 and 60 rear out of a 76 hung underneath. Probably run a 31-32" tire for now being that it will be mostly street but I want to be able to run something much larger and still have some artiuclation since we have all sorts of terrain here.
Cab is going to be 4 full doors for plenty of room. Nothing too fancy. Would like to keep a radio and install a/c but one thing at a time.
