converting dent axle to 5x4.5...

Post by 70shortwide »

I need to convert my dent f100 axle to the car 5x4.5 lug pattern... anybody know if theres a car axle that will slide into this housing? I can have these ones redrilled, but if I can run to U Pull It and snag a couple axles I would likely just do that. :fr:

If you can locate an '80-'83 F100 in the wrecking yard, it will have a wider 9-inch rear end (which will be very close to matching the width of the CV front suspension), and the axles will have the correct 5-on-4.5" lug pattern.

If you locate a possible donor truck, just be sure to measure the lug spacing before paying your money for it.
