Justin's 67 Project
Well here is my 1967 Ford F100. It has a 352 with a Med FX transmission. Paid 800 dollars for it, had an auto lite 4100 carburetor. Truck didn't run when I got it, did basic tests to narrow it down. It was the carb, so ran home and grabbed my Holly 650 off my 68 Ford F100. Purrs like a kitten now.

It didn't have a seat, so first thing was to get one. Found one on Ebay, completely reupholstered. Paid in the end 285 Dollars after shipping.

Re: Justin's 67 Project
Put my new fuel pump on. The fitting they supplies didn't fit properly this is actually the second pump after forcing the fittings on the first one and breaking the housing . I got a free replacement. I was able to find fitting that went about 5 threads in so I JB welded them, no leaks works like a charm.
The heater control in the interior was stuck outward and the culprit was a rusted completely shut heater control valve. So I replaced it with one from Auto Zone 19.99.
Installed my seat I picked up off Ebay a couple weeks ago and just got it from greyhound Thursday. I also installed my stereo today, it's neat aint it?
My factory dome light buttons. I didn't install these they were stock, but I just love them *Drool*

Looking good! Can you tell me how you fixed the heater? I've got that problem on my 67 Ranger, and on the Camper Special I'm giving to a friend.

Re: Justin's 67 Project
Under the hood their is a heater control valve. This adjusts how much antifreeze comes into your heater core. They usually rust up and shut and then won't adjust anymore. You can try putting penetrating fluid on it and breaking it lose first, but like mine it wouldn't break lose and I had to replace it. If you look at the picture, that I fixed because I incorrectly typed it you see that plastic piece? That's the valve and you replace that. You see the little metal hose thing running to it? That comes from the heater control.kf7mjf wrote:Looking good! Can you tell me how you fixed the heater? I've got that problem on my 67 Ranger, and on the Camper Special I'm giving to a friend.

Re: Justin's 67 Project
I forgot to take pictures of the rust on the floor board before I cut it out. But this evening I cut it out and fabricated a patch panel. I also need to fabricate a kick pad patch panel but in due time. Boy what you can do with a 15 dollar grinder from harbor freight. We had a house fire about 5 weeks back and people looted alot of my tools out of my garage so I had to buy what I could at a cheap price. I mounted the panel with sheet metal screws. Been doing the work at our temporary apartment till our house is repaired. Luckily they didn't steal my welder. I will weld or at least tack it tomorrow.

She looks to be in pretty good shape. Great find on the seat.

Re: Justin's 67 Project
Yes it was a steal on this truck. There's very little rust. Few holes in cab floor, cab corners, a few spots on fender and doors. I have to weld up a bunch of holes in the door from where a million mirror holes were drilled. No rust on the bed. Has all its windshield, back glass, drip rail, and head liner chrome. No dents just needs a good polish. However it has such a high gear rear end. I'm sure it's good on gas mileage. Not good for speeding.sargentrs wrote:She looks to be in pretty good shape. Re: Justin's 67 Project
Well I wanted to have an update today about welding in that panel. Unfortunately my Apartment does not supply enough power to weld properly. I ran a 60foot chord to my welder and kept blowing breakers. That sucks, I am going to have to ask my boss if I can use his property to do my welding.

Re: Justin's 67 Project
Did some small panel replacement at the rocker panel. I still cant weld it yet till I have a place with enough juice.
Cut out part of the upper rocker panel was rusted through.
Bubbled up rust from the rusted rear cab support.
The rusted rear cab support.
The cab support cut out.
Thinking about just getting some like 3" or 4" square tubing and making my own cab support, sound feasible?
