Is this a transmission leak?
Where is this transmission fluid coming from? Looked under the truck one day and saw a little puddle. Looked like was dripping off the u-joint so I wiped it off and drove it...and sure enough that's where I see the drip (see pic). Where is it coming from? Help!

Re: Is this a transmission leak?
If it is not the rear seal, it is either weeping out the threads of the tail shaft or the yoke bleed hole, some , but not all yokes have a weep hole in the center & a rubber pad on the inside ? Kind of a tough one to see on here ...Why not drop the 4 bolts & look around...I think it will self explain. What year, make , & model..........???

The source of the leak will reveal itself if ya clean off the wet gunk. Start there.

Looks like a mid-60s Cruiso to me. Most likely the rear seal.

It's a 67 F100 with a cruise-o-matic. I'll remove 4 bolts at the yoke and take a look. If it is the rear seal, is it a big job to fix it?
