The grille and the hood badges are those from a '67. Does your heater work from slide controls or pull knobs? Knobs are 67, the slide controls are from a 68. Take a look here: http://www.fordification.com/tech/67-72ID_01.htm

And also, how do your doors open? If there is a handle similar to your window lever and you pull to open, push to lock, then those are 67 doors. If you have a square inner handle inside your armrest that you finger pull to open the door, and lock knobs on the window sill, then those are 68-72. Another tell tale sign as to whether your truck is a 67 with one year only parts. Sweet truck either way.
I am starting to think it is a 67. When I bought it, the owner told me it was a 67, but then the registration says 68. The doors and hood match the 67 description, while there are sliders for the heater controls. I can't check the vin, because early in its life it was stolen and the vin was removed, it was reissued a california state re identification number somewhere along the way... Is there a vin hidden somewhere that might have been missed when they removed it from the door?

Also, the original paint color (Light Tealy Green) under the red is the same on the body, doors, and bed, so I don't think it is pieced together from multiple years. Hmm...
Cool, I actually just moved back to southeast Idaho after spending the majority of the summer up in chico. Beautiful area! And made enough money to buy the truck

Okay, I went out today and tried to gather some information in hopes that I can figure out what year this truck is! Using the vin on the frame, and the vin decoder I determined that it was manufactured in December of 1967, does that make it a 67 or 68? The California replacement vin actually matches the one on the frame, so that was very comforting. The motor is a 360. The underside of the bed is light green, as are the undersides of the front fenders and hood. Interestingly enough i could not find any green paint on the body, which is where the 68 heater controls are... (Keep in mind the doors are positively 67). So I am thinking maybe someone replaced the cab at some point, although I have no idea why, that would be an interesting wreck to not effect any other piece of the truck.... Any thoughts? If I can get it tuned up and idling a little better I think I will love this truck
Another option is that since this was a California truck, it was purchased with a heater delete option, and later on down the road, someone had a heater installed in it? Can you post a pic of the dashboard? Since otherwise your truck clearly screams 67. Either way it is a rather nice truck
Okay, here is another question, tonight my mom took the pickup for a drive, and I had left it in four wheel drive, while she was driving there was a large crash. When she got home I realized that the transfer case had broken in half. I have found quite a few used ones for sale, but a lot of them are out of 1975's. How do I know if it will fit?
