68 f100 4x4 build thread
I kind of started this in the welcome thread, but realized it would be better here. You can see the old thread here:
http://fordification.com/forum/viewtopi ... =1&t=65267
Anyhow, I'm pretty much done with the exterior, or at least that is what I tell myself. I block sanded and shot it with thinned paint. What a difference!!! I also touched up the emblems with some rustoleum caution red.
More pics here:

The interior needs a little more work, but I did paint it while the glass was out. I also need to fix a rear intake oil leak, and I am collecting parts to do power steering.
Oh, and I just finish the exterior of the truck this past weekend and I get a call yesterday to use it in photo shoots and videos for a retail store named Déjà vu. The photo shoot is today.
It will be used for stuff like this with the models:
http://www.shopdejavu.com/pages/lookbook
They will give me copies of all of it so it should make for some great pictures.
Pretty cool!!!!
For those that don't want to look back at the old thread here are a couple before pics:
That's it for now,
Tyler

Your moveing right along on your truck. The black paint with Red trim makes everything stand out and looks good. Ive done the same for my truck but im painting it white. Post some pictures of the photoshoot when you can, Models and bumps always go good together LOL.

Re: 68 f100 4x4 build thread
I just got my truck back an hour ago. I can't wait to see the pics, and they sure are some pretty girls!!! I'll post up some for sure.
The primer I used was much whiter than I'm used to and I have to say it was tempting me to paint it white. These trucks look great white for sure, and I'm looking forward to seeing yours further along.
I was think about using a 1/8' red pin stripe at the transition between the flat black on the bottom and the gloss. What do ya'll think???? Plus the spray got under my taping job a little so the curves are a little jagged. The stripe would fix that.

How did you fix the rust in your roof right above the windshield? My truck has the exact same problem.

Thanks sargents.
Wood,
Check out that last photo. I cut the whole roof and welded another on. You can see the donor in the background.

I'm so proud of it I did not grind off the welds on the interior as a reminder of the new roof.

Re: 68 f100 4x4 build thread
Been kind of slow go but got a bit done since last post:
Built a 390 and painted the engine compartment and underside of hood
Added a truck box and bed mat. Still need to paint the bed.
Also added a sliding rear window, but don't have a pic of it!
