1968 Ford F-250 2WD 360 Camper Special

Post by QuietBear Walking »

Hello all, I'm relatively new to Ford pick ups... I've been working on a nice old Camper Special for a friend and am having some difficulty with the fuel gage... The owner tells me that the previous owner "disconnected" the rear fuel tank and that the gage hasn't worked since. Can anyone give me something to look for in "reconnecting" the rear fuel tank in hopes of fixing this issue? Thanks so much.

Welcome from North Carolina, might have a bit more luck if you post this in the eletrical section of the forum. The bigger brains don't read the welcome mat as much as those.

I am still a newbie myself but...
Does your in cab gauge work ? Might be the IPVR or sending unit on the aux tank. Check the tech section as there is a very good write up detailing this issue, or use the search feature. Very common problem. I have not fixed mine myself :)
