Re: AOD tag info help?
Thanks Keith - Does that info indicate if its a V6 or V8 trans?
Is this info on the site somewhere?
Thanks again for the help.

Re: AOD tag info help?
No, I found that info in a quick Google search. I'll bet the 'BB' part of the bottom line pinpoints the exact engine, but I don't have access to that info. I know '88 T-birds could either come with a a turbo 4-cylinder, a V-6 or a 5.0L V8, so you'll have to look at the bellhousing bolt pattern to determine which you've got.

Re: AOD tag info help?
I must be 'internet search in-ept' or something because I've searched for AOD identification info several times with no detailed results like that - anyway - thanks.
Is the V6 BH bolt pattern different than the V8?? I don't know anything about the V6s but I just assumed they were the same as the V8s. I haven't ever actually measured this one but I thought it 'looked like' the sbf pattern. I'll have to take a closer look.

Re: AOD tag info help?
So I checked the bell housing bolt pattern and it matches the sbf V8. If the V6 and 4cyl patterns are different I guess that's all I needed to check. I just want to make sure this trans is from a V8 before spending any money rebuilding it.
Thanks for the help!
