Part number help needed: shifter arm bushings
Good afternoon!
I want to replace the shifter arm bushings on my ´71 F100 with three on the tree. I want to replace all 4 bushings, the two upper on the column and the two lower on the shift levers on the transmission.
Are part number C5TZ-7343-A the right bushings? Can I use them on both upper and lower arms?
Here´s a link:

Maybe someone with a master parts catalogue can help me. I just ordered a copy of the catalogue on CD online, but you gotta help me one more time with this one
Thanks!
Florian

Re: Part number help needed: shifter arm bushings
I ordered two sets of them now. I´ll update this thread when they arrive and post if they also fit on the transmission shift levers.

Those bushings don´t fit on the transmission shift levers. They are a bigger size.

Re: Part number help needed: shifter arm bushings
I couldn't find them listed separately in the MPC, and the illustrations here at Fordification don't show them.
I know they're there, but like a lot of other stuff from Ford, you may have had to buy the shifter arms with the bushings installed.
Maybe somebody else can provide better info.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

Re: Part number help needed: shifter arm bushings
The C3TZ would be closer, but from the factory, they have brass bushings in them with a washer on one side.stephen44 wrote:shot in the dark - wonder if thsi is it ? B9AZ-7343-A

Re: Part number help needed: shifter arm bushings
I'm having the same problem http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =4&t=60081 . Mine had rubber bushings on the transmission arms from the factory. The 2/3 bushing has deteriorated and it's hard to get it to go into second gear. No problem going into third though. I found some part numbers for nylon bushings, but not for rubber bushings.

Re: Part number help needed: shifter arm bushings
C5TZ-7343-A is the Ford part number for the rubber bushing for the column end, I would suspect any part number with 7343 in it would be for the column end.stephen44 wrote:shot in the dark - wonder if thsi is it ? B9AZ-7343-A

Re: Part number help needed: shifter arm bushings
I think 7341 is the part number for the dentside era nylon bushing, the one where the rod snaps into it.

Re: Part number help needed: shifter arm bushings
Florian, I went to Hurst and Mr Gasket webb sites and they both list a "service kit" which Hurst list a nylon kit, but neither site gave the size of the bushings. I would think that if they had the kit for your year truck and transmission that they would naturally fit the arms on the trans. but some of the aftermarket shifters had larger than stock shift linkage. But it might be worth a call to a dealer.
