Transmission for 1968 f100

Post by Scoot43 »

My '68 f100 Ranger originally had a 240 I6 with 3spd manual transmission.

It now has a '71 Mustang 302 V8 with an FMX Transmission.

I would like to put a 300 I6 engine(because they are more plentiful than 240and so that it is not underpowered)in it with a 3spd manual

Does anyone have the details on this transmission?

I thought that I should be looking for a 3.03 Toploader, but then thought maybe it was a Warner.

Any technical details would be appreciated.

Thanks

c6 is the best ford transmission. fmx is better than a mx or fx transmission. and is made of the mx and fx combinded parts.

the 3.03 is the ford light duty manual transmissison put into our trucks. the T85 borg warner 3 speed overdrive is a different transmission than the 3.03.

which transmission do you want to know more about?

I would like to put a manual transmission in it. Not the 3 spd overdrive just the 3 speed 3.03. Do you know of any good information resources, or have any information?
