C6 vs C4

I was looking up stuff on the C6, and it was said the C6 will kill 2-3 mpg vs a C4?

The C6 is a monster in terms of the abuse it can handle, and not limp home. Where as GM introduced a T475 for the heaviest of duty Ford stuck with the C6.

the reason for the fuel economy drop is that the c6 takes a fair bit more power to run than a c4 (around 20 hp more) because of the larger mass of the rotating assy

I am not sure if this is hear say but didn't the later model c4 come with an over drive option? If so is it possible to put one in our trucks.

i dont think the c4 is made anymore. and probably hasnt been since 1980. but i could be wrong. the aod is a modified c6 i was told.

the c4 never had an overdrive, but they did add a lockup torque convertor and called it a c5
