clutch adjustment question

clutch adjustment question
which way on the clutck adjustment rod would i screw it to bring the clutch engagement farther away from the floor board
65 F100 swb 302 project
67 dodge coronet 440 also wife's car great mopar though

you want to make the rod longer. so screwing it so the distance becomes more making it longer should give you more pedal.

Good evening Hot_Roder09,
Just like Fordman says, you'll want to make it longer.
In some Bumpsides, even with that rod at its most extended setting, it still won't be long enough to get the clutch adjusted to within spec'. So NAPA sells a significantly longer clutch push-rod that solves this problem, if you run in to that.

I also asked about the ideal clutch adjustment and received some great replies; maybe this would interest you too.
Clutch adjustment: 1-1.5" of pedal play or 1/8" fork play?
