1959 2 speed speedometer gear

1959 2 speed speedometer gear
Hey , Does anyone have info on what speedometer gear goes in this tranny? It is aluminum and has no modulator. Therefore, a 59 or 60 . Someone told me that the gear runs backward in some of these years. Any lead will help. Craig

Is this an automatic trans? If so, I can ask my dad, he was a hot rodder in the 50's and might remember.
